At AskYourContractAI ("we", "our", "us"), we take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information We Collect

Account data: Email address and authentication provider (Google, email/password) when you create an account.
Contract content: The text of documents you upload or paste for analysis. We process this solely to provide you with AI-generated analysis results.
Usage data: Pages visited, features used, analysis count, and anonymised analytics collected via Google Analytics.
Payment data: Processed securely by Stripe. We never store your full credit card number on our servers.

2. How We Use Your Data

To provide, maintain, and improve our AI contract analysis service.
To manage your account, billing, and subscription.
To send transactional emails (receipts, password resets, analysis reports).
To display relevant advertisements via Google AdSense (free tier).
To detect abuse and protect against fraud.

3. AI Processing & Data Retention

Your contract text is sent to our AI provider (Anthropic / Claude) for analysis. We do not use your contracts to train AI models. Contract data is processed in real time and is not retained by the AI provider beyond the request.

Free tier: Contract data auto-deleted after 30 days.
Pro/Teams: Data retained until you delete it or close your account.
You can delete all your data at any time from Dashboard → Settings.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with:

Anthropic (Claude): To process contract analysis requests.
Stripe: To process payments.
Supabase: For authentication and database storage.
Google: For analytics and advertising (anonymised).
Affiliate partners: Only if you click an affiliate link (no data shared without your action).

5. Cookies & Tracking

We use essential cookies (session, preferences) and third-party cookies (Google Analytics, Google AdSense). You can disable non-essential cookies in your browser settings.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access your personal data.
Request correction or deletion of your data.
Export your analysis history.
Opt out of marketing communications.
Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

7. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption in transit, encrypted database storage via Supabase, and secure payment processing via Stripe. No system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
